Participatory Defense Shero

Most of us know this Queen by the name, “Nee Nee”. Ms. Nee Nee has been a community organizer around prison reform, fair wages, and housing for decades. She is an extraordinary organizer and has dedicated her life to being a community advocate. At least two to three times per week you will see Nee Nee supporting families at one of San Diego’s three courthouses.

Nee Nee facilitates the Participatory Defense meetings every Tuesday from 6:00-8:00PM. She is also the primary outreach volunteer who speaks with families in court to ensure they know about our program. With Nee Nee’s support and determination families have been able to collectively save their loved ones over 200-years in prison.

Nee Nee does the work!! She is in the courthouses strategizing, empowering, and helping families fight Mass Elimination. We define Mass Elimination as the purposeful removal of our loved one from society. Over 50-families navigated the complex criminal court system with Nee Nee in 2018 and she plans to assist 100- families this year.
